A KILLER NEW ADVENTURE
Dark Ice is a three chapter narrative co-op campaign that builds on the existing FEET FIRST INTO HELL game system. It is designed for up to four players, and utilizes a narrative-management system called Mission Logs to dole out the story. This frees up a player from having to act as game master. However, the mission will still work if one player decides to act as a Game Master and facilitate the adventure for others!
Each chapter includes maps to illustrate the battlefield, narrative developments, technical challenges, roleplaying options, and more! Additionally, a bevy of art by LR Knight and Hugh Stockton fill the book to the brim, including all new page elements that make every page pop off your screen!
ORBITAL DROP COMBAT
During the course of the mission, you’ll get the full DROP Corps experience: a dangerous orbital deployment deep into enemy terrain; overwhelming odds; a central, critical mission objective; tough choices; and ultimately, if you survive all that, a risky escape! DROP Corps missions are not for the feint of heart. DARK ICE is designed to challenge players: once you drop onto the surface of Elox-C, you will not be able to reinforce your DROP Team. So choose and equip your men wisely, Drop Sergeant: this one is straight into the fires.
EXPANDED, EXPLOSIVE FORMAT
For new players, Dark Ice adds several pages and illustrations that explain the ruleset in greater detail. These include, for the first time, full-color photography of FFIH battlefields using custom-made models produced by Lionborn Publishing. Enhance your battlefield aptitude by diving deep into the ruleset.
Additionally, on page 46, you’ll find a link to a Google Drive folder containing a number of player printables and STL objects modeled for FFIH-specific terrain, including drop pods, a DROP Corpsman, game tokens, and more! Learning to model in 3D is one of the avenues opened up by sales of the previous books, and I’m happy to give back with new stuff to bring your games to life!
